Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 16, 2026

Our Commitment to Your Privacy

At BigJSON.online, we believe in complete transparency. Our JSON tools process all data entirely in your browser – your files and data never leave your device. We don't collect, store, or transmit your JSON data to any server.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Data You Process

JSON Data: When you use our JSON tools (formatter, validator, minifier, etc.), all processing happens entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. Your JSON data:

  • Never leaves your device – No uploads to our servers
  • Never stored – We don't save or cache your data
  • Never transmitted – No network requests with your data
  • Not accessible to us – We cannot see what you process

100% Client-Side Processing: You can verify this by disconnecting from the internet – our tools will continue to work because they don't require server communication.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

Analytics (Microsoft Clarity)

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our site. This collects:

  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Browser type and device information
  • General location (country/city level, not precise GPS)
  • Click patterns and scroll behavior
  • Session recordings (anonymized)

Important: Clarity does NOT capture:

  • The content of your JSON data
  • Sensitive form inputs
  • Personal identification information
  • Payment information

Server Logs

Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs:

  • IP address (anonymized after 24 hours)
  • Browser user agent
  • Requested URLs
  • Timestamp of requests
  • HTTP status codes

These logs are used solely for security, debugging, and performance monitoring. They are automatically deleted after 30 days.

1.3 Cookies and Local Storage

We use minimal browser storage:

  • User Preferences: We store non-personal settings like:
    • Panel width preferences
    • Theme preferences (if implemented)
    • Indent size preferences
  • No Tracking Cookies: We don't use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking
  • Analytics Cookies: Microsoft Clarity may set cookies for session tracking (anonymized)

We use the limited information we collect to:

  • Improve the website: Understand which features are most useful
  • Fix bugs: Identify and resolve technical issues
  • Enhance performance: Optimize loading speed and user experience
  • Prevent abuse: Detect and prevent spam or malicious activity
